Friday Reflection

Jesus Brings Peace in Chaos: The peace that Jesus brought to the storm mirrors the peace He brings to our hearts in the midst of life’s storms. His presence alone is enough to calm our fears and bring stillness to our souls.

Friday Verse

Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. Romans 8:18 (NLT)

Friday Questions

How can I seek Jesus’ peace in the middle of the storms I am currently facing? In what ways can I embrace His calming presence to still my soul, even when challenges seem overwhelming?

Hourly, even minute-by-minute, we must make choices. We’re constantly standing at a crossroads with every challenge or storm we face, and the choice is whether to trust in God’s sovereignty or let fear take hold. God asks us to trust Him in the unknown, which can be hard to do. The difficulty in relinquishing control is a very human experience. Asking God for help in controlling the storms really resonates with me. It’s a reminder that while we can’t always control our circumstances, we can control our response by leaning into Him. The idea that we have thousands of years of testimony to God’s faithfulness and provision makes it clear that we have more than enough evidence to trust Him, even when the storm is overwhelming. His track record is flawless; He has never failed us! As the next storm rolls in, may we consider the 20 centuries of data as we relish in His calming powers instead of allowing the storms to bring fear to our souls.
