July 20: Weekly Focus
July – Submission
Submission is the practice of yielding our will to God and placing the needs of others before our own. It is not about weakness but about trusting God’s authority and choosing humility. Through submission, we learn to follow Jesus’ example of obedience, letting go of pride and control. This month we focus on submission as a path to freedom, peace, and deeper love for God and others.

Reading:
34Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. Mark 8:34 (NLT)
We all want control, but life rarely goes as planned. Jesus showed us that real strength comes from surrender. Submitting to God does not mean life will be easy, but it does mean we can trust that His way leads to something better.
