June 15: Weekly Focus

June – Solitude

Solitude is the practice of stepping away from noise and busyness to be alone with God. It is not about escaping responsibilities but about creating space to hear His voice more clearly. In solitude, we remember that God is enough and that our worth comes from Him, not from what we do or what others think. This month we focus on solitude as a way of drawing near to God in quiet trust and dependence.

Week of June 15- Week 24

Reading:

¹³Afterward Jesus went up on a mountain and called out the ones he wanted to go with him. And they came to him. ¹⁴Then he appointed twelve of them and called them his apostles. They were to accompany him, and he would send them out to preach, ¹⁵giving them authority to cast out demons. Mark 3:13–15 (NLT)

Jesus chose His closest followers after withdrawing in solitude. Important decisions flowed from His time alone with God.

Why this matters for life today:

We often try to push through challenges without stopping. Solitude teaches us to step back, regain perspective, and draw strength from God. It is in the quiet moments that we find clarity and renewal.
