March – Celebration

Celebration is the practice of rejoicing in who God is and what He has done. It is not dependent on circumstances but flows from the deep joy of knowing God’s love and salvation. Through celebration, we are reminded of the victory Jesus has won, and we are invited to live each day with gratitude and hope. As Easter approaches, we celebrate the resurrection that brings life, freedom, and joy.

Week of March 30- Week 13

Reading:

5But the angel said, “Don’t be afraid! I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying. 7And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I have told you.” Matthew 26:5-7 (NLT)

The resurrection is the greatest reason for celebration. Easter proclaims that death has been defeated, Jesus is alive, and we have hope and eternal life in Him.

Reflection Questions:

1.    How does the resurrection give you hope today?

2.    What difference does it make to know Jesus is alive?

3.    How can you celebrate Easter in ways that impact your daily life?

4.    How might you share the joy of Easter with others?

5.    What steps can you take to live as someone who celebrates the victory of Christ every day?

Why this matters for life today:

Jesus’ victory over death means life, hope, and freedom for all who believe!

Take it Deeper:

  • Christ’s victory over death gives us reason to celebrate with hope.

54Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory. 55O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” 56For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. 57But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:54–57 (NLT)

  • Because Christ lives, we can have new life. Jesus’ resurrection broke sin’s hold permanently and we are able to have a relationship with our holy God.

8And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with him. 9We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. 10When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God. 11So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus. Romans 6:8–11 (NLT)
