September – Guidance

Guidance is the practice of seeking and following the direction of God through His Word, prayer, and the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. It also involves learning from the counsel of wise believers who walk closely with God. When we trust God’s guidance, He leads us in paths of peace, purpose, and truth. This month we focus on living with open hearts that listen for God’s voice and follow His leading.

Week of September 28- Week 39

Reading:

²²The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. ²³Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. ²⁴I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” ²⁵The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. Lamentations 3:22–25 (NLT)

God’s faithful love and daily mercy are part of His guidance. As we depend on Him, He teaches us to walk with hope and trust.

Reflection Questions:

1.    How do God’s mercy, love, and faithfulness shape the way you seek His guidance?

2.    What does it mean to search for the Lord in daily life?

3.    How does God’s goodness bring peace to your decisions?

4.    Where do you need fresh hope in God’s guidance today?

5.    How can you remind yourself each day to depend on the Lord’s leading?

Why this matters for life today:

Everyone needs wisdom. God promises to give it generously when we ask. This kind of guidance is practical and helps us handle real life situations with confidence and grace.

Take it Deeper:

  • Nothing can separate us from God’s faithful love and guidance.

38And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 (NLT)

  • God promises to answer and reveal great and hidden things when we call on Him.

3Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come. Jeremiah 33:3 (NLT)
