Talking to God helps us know Him better.
Psalm 145:18; Ephesians 1:15-17
Most of us have prayed for something important and not gotten what we hoped for. That leaves us wondering: Am I doing it wrong? Does God hear me? What's the point?
David says God is near to ALL who call on Him, not just the polished or perfect (Psalm 145:18). Prayer isn't primarily transactional; it's relational. Paul's prayers (Ephesians 1:15-17) model giving thanks, praying for others, and asking for deeper knowledge of God. The best thing prayer does is remind us who God is, who we are, and that we never face life alone.
